Is every email end-to-end encrypted?
Private conversations protect message content and attachments with end-to-end encryption. Ordinary email to other providers uses standard email delivery and does not have that same protection. Maildomo makes the difference clear before you send.
Can I email someone who doesn’t use Maildomo?
Yes. Use standard email to reach any email address. Your recipient can read and reply from their usual inbox.
Can my organization use its own email addresses?
Yes. Organizations can keep their company email addresses and manage their teams. Managing an account does not automatically grant access to its private messages; access to private correspondence requires explicit authorization.
What can Maildomo see?
In a private conversation, your subject, message, and attachments are encrypted. Maildomo still processes routing and operational information to run the service. Standard email passes through mail servers in readable form.
What does a verifiable record prove?
It provides evidence of a specific action, such as someone explicitly acknowledging a document or signing an agreement. You can keep and independently check that evidence. Delivery, reading, acknowledgment, and signing are different actions; one does not stand in for another.
How does recovery work?
Your recovery kit helps you regain access if you lose a device. Store it somewhere safe. You can test it whenever you choose; testing is optional. Without a trusted device or your recovery material, your encrypted history may be impossible to recover.
